A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens

Book 59/30.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I started reading A Christmas Carol for the penultimate book of my 2023 reading challenge on December 25th, because Christmas Day πŸ€©πŸŽ„ It’s pretty fucking wild that I had never read it before considering there are hundreds, if not thousands, of adaptations of this Charles Dickens Xmas classic across various mediums. Furthermore, the book had been sitting on my shelf for over five years but hey, better late than never πŸ˜…

This Charles Dickens classic tells the story of Ebenezer Scrooge’s ghostly journeys through Christmases past, present, and future and his ultimate transformation from a harsh and grasping old miser to a charitable and compassionate human being. This perennial classic (and with good reason!) is a beautiful reminder of the spirit of Christmas, what the holiday represents and how we can be kinder and more mindful of our actions.
