April 23rd is World Book Day. It was first established by UNESCO in 1995 as a day of celebrating the joy of reading for enjoyment.
For my World Book Day 2020 book tag I went in the opposite direction of my Book Lovers Day 2019 book tag by sharing the books that I did not like at all and gave 1 star to on Goodreads. For anyone not familiar with the Goodreads rating it works like this:
1 star – did not like it
2 stars – it was okay
3 stars – liked it
4 stars – really liked it
5 stars – it was amazing
Today’s book tag is an update of the 2020 one as, unfortunately for me, I have read 11 1 star books since WBD 2020 (and DNFd 1 book), with 2020 being my worst reading year as I read SIX!!!!!! 1 star books that year 🥴😩😒 Similar to my 2020 World Book Day book tag, the books are arranged chronologically from June 2020 to date.
PS: ever since joining Goodreads in 2015, 2019, 2022 and 2024 remain the only years I did not read a 1 star book. Praise be!
