Book 25/30.
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
I first read this book when I was around 13 years old, and it made me cry sooo hard I could barely see through my tears. So I decided to reread it and see if it will invoke the same emotions as the first time I read it almost 20 years ago.
Nary a single tear was shed. Lol.
But it is amazing to see how one’s reading palette changes with age. Not only did I not cry but I was also very aware of the less than stellar writing. The story was as good as I remembered, but now that I am widely read nothing else held up to the pedestal my younger self placed this book on.
