Book 6/30.
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
After reading two 1 star books in February, aka the shortest month of the year!!, for books 3 (The Good Girl) and 5 (Beautiful World, Where Are You) 🙄😤 I was in dire need of palate cleanser to remove the taste of those godawful books and rekindle my 2025 reading challenge. And for me there is no better palate cleanser than Nora Roberts 🤩🫶
Unfinished Business is a second chance romance centered around Vanessa who heads to her hometown for the first time in twelve years after her father took her away from her mother to launch her career as a world-renowned pianist. Now that her father has died, Vanessa wants to see if she can rebuild a relationship with her mother. While there, she gets ensnared by the small-town magic of Hyattown and slowly falls in love with life again. It is your typical Nora Roberts novel: girl meets boy, either old flame or new guy —> Problems —> Happily ever after. Her newer books include an element of mystery and I enjoy the romantic suspense subgenre more than just plain ol’ romance.
