- How do you define mental wellness?
To me, mental wellness is all about being in tune with my emotional and physical health. I try to notice how changes around me can impact my feelings and how well I handle those shifts.
2. Can you share any habits or routines you follow to nurture your mental health?
Sleep is super important to me, I just love it! There are times I might indulge a bit too much, but I really embrace my sleep. I also make an effort to get moving every day, even if it’s just some light activity. Building my support system is key too! And I’m working on setting better boundaries, which is definitely a journey.
3. How do you recognize when you’re not doing well mentally and how do you cope in those moments?
I can tell my mental health is slipping when I find it hard to concentrate, don’t sleep well, lack energy, or start isolating myself. Therapy has been amazing for picking up coping strategies. I also journal and lean on my support system when I need it. And let me tell you, sometimes I just need a good cry! I think I’ve probably cried more in the last two years than I have in my whole life up until 2023. It really helps me feel better.
- How do you define mental wellness?
Mental wellness to me is just being happy, emotionally stable and able to be productive and able to function at a healthy level in life.

I’m very keen on my triggers so I try stay away from them if possible. I try get enough sleep because I learnt that really affects my mental health and the moment anything is off insomnia checks in. I focus on what I can fix at the moment in terms of problems and come back later with a fresh perspective and less anxiety to deal with the rest.
3. How do you recognize when you’re not doing well mentally and how do you cope in those moments?
One way I recognise my mental health is struggling is my sleep patterns change. I basically oversleep or just not sleep which in turn makes me tired and unproductive. Another sign for me is anxiety just for no reason. Me just being worried for nothing even sometimes which means I’m on edge all the time. I’ve also dealt with depression and the moment I can’t even leave the house, no energy, I just want to stay in bed the whole day (I’ve done it) and the pesky suicidal thoughts creep in I know it’s time to call my psychiatrist who luckily is always available.

Going on solo dates-trying out new coffee restaurants and just have a moment on my own (people never understand how I do that lol!!) Taking random photos around me that look interesting. Oh plus anytime the moon, beautiful sunsets/sunrise show? They will definitely get a spot in my gallery
3. How do you recognize when you’re not doing well mentally and how do you cope in those moments?
I get irritable, lose interest in things I used to really love doing, always tired even after a day off lol – I listen to music mostly gospel, journal what I am feeling at that particular time.

- How do you define mental wellness
Mental wellness, the state where your mind is at peace with your surroundings and all areas of your life seemingly blend in.
2. Can you share any habits or routines you follow to nurture your mental health?
Sleep the stress away. Plan and plan and plan. Sometimes I’m not sure what I’m planning for but it kinda gives me some sort of control which helps in coping.
3. How do you recognize when you’re not doing well mentally and how do you cope in those moments?
Hmmm, considering myself a creative, my mental health is almost always in a structured kind of chaos. I’m always 25 tabs open and want to close all tabs simultaneously. But I realise I’m not well mentally when I can’t seem to focus on one simple task and complete it to the end or when things I enjoy on a normal day start to feel like an extreme sport. I take a step back and shut out the world(literally). I go quiet on people and try work the chaos in my mind. Sometimes it works, sometimes it’s even more chaos.
