The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

Book 16/30.

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel’s story is about to be completely rewritten.

The Fault in Our Stars explores love, illness, and the pursuit of meaning despite life’s fragility. It has a super special place in my heart because my mum loved the movie adaptation 🥹 I read the book after I watched the movie adaptation, but I think if it was the other way (i.e. if I read the book first) I definitely maybe would have cried 😅

I was curious to see if I would cry this time around because last time the ending had me balancing tears. But not only did not cry, I also rated it one star less because there was nothing in me that believed there is a single teenager on the planet who talk like Hazel and Gus do 😅
