Original 2016 Review
DISAPPOINTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This might easily be the most disappointing book I have ever read. The bold letters, italics, underline, caps and exclamation marks kinda gives away just how disappointing I found this book. Sex And The City is my favourite show of all time Kanye voice. I have watched all six seasons twice, and I keep saying I am due for a re-run. Out of all the 52 categories in this year’s Goodreads reading challenge, I was most excited for this. Disappointingly, it took me a couple of days to get into it. I would read a paragraph or so, then have to go back and re-read as I lost concentration given how mindbogglingly (I even have to use that word, don’t think I have ever written it down. In fact, I am sure I have never used it, I didn’t even know it was one word) boring and shallow all conversations and characters were.

The Goodreads bio describes this book as “Wildly funny, unexpectedly poignant, wickedly observant …” Lol. No. Just, no. I feel like I can go into a thousand plus word rant on why this book was just so disappointing (there goes that word again), but instead I will say that the creators of the show had some serious vision. Like, they should be given an award because that level of vision is practically supernatural. The show is a bazillion (hey, another word I have never written down before) times better than this. On that note, I am definitely going to re-watch the show for a third time, because this hot mess cannot be the most recent memory I have of Sex and the City.

What she 👆 said.
And I STILL have not rewatched SATC for the third time 😩 I had started it recently and only got as far as two episodes before thinking that I might want to hold off until its 30th anniversary in 2028… decisions, decisions 😅
