Don Tillman is a hell of a character. I enjoyed his narration immensely. This book is one of those that will stay with me for a long time. It’s funny AF!! I was literally laughing out loud every other page. It’s also an adorable, charming read. I gave it to my boyfriend who (I presume) is not a romance fan and he enjoyed it. This was so well done, anyone, chick lit fan or not, is sure to fall in love with the story.
2026 Reread Review
Ten years later, The Rosie Project is the latest casualty whose reread revealed that it is no longer… well, a 5-star read 😭
There was nothing wrong with the book this time around. Well, other than Gene, that is. But after finishing it, I could not quite bring myself to give it a 5 star rating, because I felt like I would only be doing so to stay in solidarity with my 2016 review. So I settled on 4 stars, because if I have to talk myself into a 5 star rating, then it is not a 5-star read.
