Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac by Gabrielle Zevin

Book 32/30.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Oh I really liked this one!!

This is my second Gabrielle Zevin read. My first was The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry and it was a solid 5 stars for me. I loved it so much this was all I could say in my review:

Lol! But like, I read it in a day so I really did love everything about the book.

Unlike The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry, this is a Young Adult book, aka my second favourite genre, so it was already winning going in. I am glad I have learnt, and are continuing to learn, how to enjoy a book even if I do not like a main character. Otherwise I would NOT have enjoyed this book as much. The protagonist, Naomi Porter, was a bit too insufferable for my taste at times … a lot of the time. I REALLY had to talk myself into remembering to separate the character from the story sooo many times, but I did it Joe. Lol.

For real though, I managed to put my feelings aside enough to enjoy this and give it 4 stars, but damn Naomi could be such a bitch!! That said it was such a good story and I am looking forward to reading Elsewhere, the other Gabrielle Zevin book in my collection.
