Wow! This was just so utterly unremarkable 🥴
Enyewe, I have been duped by one too many books because they have “Oprah’s Book Club” written on the cover. Man this was more boring than I thought it would be. The characters were all unremarkable, the setting was a snooze fest and the storyline was so damn dull. The only reason this gets 2 stars instead of 1 is because it only got interesting in the final third when Ruth started going to dances, but by then it was too late.
