Book 26/30.
My rating: 1 of 5 stars
My second 1 star read of the year ๐๐๐
Wow! This was realllllllyyyyyy horrible. This is the first time Iโve ever read a book in 24 hours not because of how good and unputdownable it was, but because of how bad it was. I couldnโt think of anything I wanted less than to bring this book into a new week so I was determined to finish it over the weekend otherwise I would be tempted to DNF it.
I think if I read this when it came out in 2008 it would have made a slight difference in my rating, because fucking hell this did NOT age well ๐ฅด๐ฅด๐ฅด It had wayyy too many rape โjokesโ that were just pathetic to read because one simply does not joke about rape. She also had a shitload of similarly offensive โjokesโ on race and sexuality that I did not find the least bit funny. On the other hand, when she wasn’t being offensive she still wasn’t funny as I did not laugh even once when reading this catastrophe of a book.
This is my second Chelsea Handler book, the first being My Horizontal Life: A Collection of One-Night Stands which was a basic 2 star read for me. After wasting a weekend on this catastrophe of a book I can now confidently say I will never ever read another Chelsea Handler book in my life.
