I added this book to my Want to Read shelf on Goodreads on August 30, 2015 after Emily May gave it SUCH A GLOWING REVIEW!!! I finally got my hands on it a few months ago and couldn’t wait to dive into it as I had been wanting to read it for almost SIX!!!!!! years now.
While I enjoyed this, it was nowhere near the fire flames read I was expecting it to be. I think it’s a combination of Emily’s review hyping up my expectations to a level the book was unable to match + my inability to empathise with both Alex and his situation.
That said, I would still recommend this book to anyone interested in reading it as it was an easy, enjoyable 3 star read.
