I like to start and end my reading challenge on a high so for my first and last reads I always pick books I’m likely to love. Going into this I was pretty sure it would be my seventh!!!!!!! 5 star read of the year because the hype surrounding this book was massive, but for reasons I can’t quite articulate it just didn’t hit the spot. It wasn’t a bad story, in fact I enjoyed it much more than a lot of other 3 star books I’ve read, but I was expecting… MORE, and this just didn’t deliver more.
