Whiskey Beach by Nora Roberts

Book 1/30.

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I like to start and end my reading challenges on a high, and since I would be at the beach during the first week of January, I decided to read this as the first book of my 2022 reading challenge. I know choosing to read Whiskey Beach at the beach is a little a lot on the nose, but I have a lot of nose anyway so 😅

Nora Roberts is my favourite author and I especially love her books in the Romantic Suspense subgenre, so even though some parts of this were a bit dull it was still an enjoyable read. One part of the book’s mystery may have been given up rather early but it was still fun trying to guess the second part of the mystery (even though I didn’t get it right 😅). This was also one of the newer works of Ms. Roberts that I’ve read (as I’ve mostly just read her late 80s, early 90s work) so it was interesting to see the inclusion of safe sex, technology and lots of curse words.
