Happy Monday ✨
I hope you are well and you had a wonderful weekend 😊
As mentioned in my post on May 1st, I am switching things up for Mental Health Awareness Month by sharing podcast episodes that have been helpful in my journey towards mental fitness. I will share four episodes across the four Mondays in May for Mental Health Monday, and my intention is that they help you as much as they have helped me.
First up was this episode of The Mel Robbins Podcast that introduced me to Dr. Gabor Maté, and made me cry. Today’s podcast episode is from On Purpose with Jay Shetty, where Jay challenges common misconceptions about manifestation and explores how mindset, habits, and personal values influence motivation, stress, and overall psychological wellbeing. Throughout the episode, he emphasises the importance of clarity, resilience, intentional action, and authenticity, while reflecting on how self-doubt, unrealistic expectations, and overreliance on positive thinking can contribute to frustration, pressure, and emotional strain when life does not unfold the way we hoped. Ultimately, the conversation encourages listeners to shift away from passive wishing and toward grounded, consistent action as a way to build a more stable and meaningful sense of fulfilment which, in a very real sense, is essential for mental health.
