Books 21 β 24/30.
I find that whenever Nora Roberts does a trilogy with three women, the first woman is always interesting enough to keep you hooked on the series, the second woman is the boring one (donβt @ me π) and the third woman β¦ well, letβs just say she tends to save the best for last and she more or less maintained that formula for this series.
The Last Honest Woman

Wow!! I liked this sooo much more than I thought I would. I mean I read it within 24 hours π The love story between Abby and Dylan was so interesting to read, and I just LOVED her children π
Dance to the Piper
26/06 β 29/06. Rating: πππ
This was okay, but the love story did not impress me as I found it too contrived. Yes I know that Ms. Roberts is the queen of instalove but this was too much yawa! I also did not particularly like either Maddy or Reed. I found Reed absolutely ridiculous and Maddy cried way too much and ate way too little for my liking. Itβs just that I canβt give any Nora Roberts book a 2 star rating, but otherwise this was not very good π
Skin Deep

I love me some Nora Roberts Romantic Suspense so I quite enjoyed this story. Chantel was a very interesting character and I was looking forward to reading her story from the minute she and the rest of the family went to visit Abby in book one. Her love interest on the other hand left a lot to be desired. I know this book is about 30 years old but YIKES the chauvinism and misogyny was strong with Quinn π€¦ββοΈ
Without a Trace

I was very excited for this one because the protagonist is a disillusioned spy and like I said I love me some Nora Roberts Romantic Suspense, but it turned out to be just okay. I loved the ending, liked the story and enjoyed the setting in Morocco, but I was not sold on the love story.
